Frequently Asked questions

  • Check-out time is 10:00 am.

  • Yes, but late check outs are subject to availability and you must arrange a late check out on morning before your check out date. There are also costs associated with late check outs.

    Late check-out may not be available during June – September due to high occupancy levels.

  • Check in time is 4:00 pm. Early check-in can be requested but cannot be guaranteed. Please contact the Front Desk.

  • During your stay, regular housekeeping services are not provided.

    For a light refresh—including refreshing bath towels and emptying waste bins—or to request additional items like towels, toiletries, or coffee, please contact the front desk.

  • For accommodations reserved during the peak season, which spans from Canada Day to Labour Day inclusive, the cancellation policy requires notification 14 days prior to the arrival date.

    During the off-season, the cancellation policy is set at 72 hours prior to the arrival date.

    • If a cancellation occurs after the specified cancellation time:

    • If a one-night deposit was paid at the time of booking, it will not be refunded.

    • If no deposit was taken, a one-night room charge plus tax will be charged to the credit card on file.

  • To avoid incurring early check-out fees, it is recommended to modify your reservation before your arrival.  If you decide to depart early, a one-night room charge, along with applicable taxes, will occur.

  • Yes. The Grande Rockies Resort charge a minimum deposit of two nights’ accommodation including taxes and hotel service fee during the peak season from June – September and minimum one night from October-May. When booking a resort package a larger deposit may be required at the time of booking depending on type of package. When booking a resort promotions such as advance purchase, total estimated cost will be charge excluding hotel service feeion

  • A $250 damage deposit is required at time of check in. Only a valid credit card is required for check in. The credit card will be authorized for the full amount of the stay, plus $250 damage deposit. Authorizations are released within 3 business days of departure. No cash or debit payments will be accepted towards the damage deposit.

  • Yes. We have underground parking for vehicles 6'6" and under. The parking is free for one vehicle per unit. Free over-sized vehicle parking is available on our surface parking lot.

  • Yes, but room upgrades are subject to availability and you must arrange upgrade in advance or at check-in. There are also costs associated with room upgrades, please contact the Front Desk if you need more information. Upgrades may not be available during June – September due to high occupancy levels.

  • No. The Grande Rockies Resort is 100% non smoking environment. This includes guest rooms and common areas.

  • The Grande Rockies Resort is a pet friendly resort in the Annex Guest Rooms only, but unfortunately not all our units are pet friendly. Please contact the Front Desk to check availability of pet friendly units and our pet policy.

  • Yes. Free Wi-Fi is available in all guest room and meeting room facilities.

  • No, unfortunately the Grande Rockies Resort does not provide cots.

  • Yes. The Grande Rockies Resort does have playpens available. But, please request at time of reservation as there are a limited number available. There is no cost for a playpen.

  • Yes. Suites in our Main Building are equipped with barbecues. Our Annex Building guest rooms do not have barbecues.

  • Yes. Grande Rockies Resort is located just outside the boundary of Banff National Park. More information on Banff Park Passes can be found on the Parks Canada website.

  • Yes. Grande Rockies Resort, and the Canmore municipal area are exempt, however if you wish to take your vehicle to nearby lakes or trailheads, you will require a Kananaskis Conservation Pass. The pass is linked to your license plate and can be purchased online, up until midnight on the date you access a provincial park (you may retroactively purchase your pass, up until midnight on the same day). More information on the Kananaskis Conservation Pass can be found on the Alberta government website.

 

STAY® | WELL

  • HSEF is the Hotel Services and Environmental Fee and is part of Bellstar’s Stay® | Well program. We hope to inspire guests to become active and truly experience our destinations and at the same time give back to the environment by offering a wide variety of activities and services, including outdoor activity programming, and a variety of seasonal gear to enable all guests to get out and enjoy the area. Included in this fee is a contribution to Bellstar’s Stay® | Green program, which supports local eco-friendly initiatives. For more information, please visit bellstar.ca/green.

  • Stay® | Well is an expanded version of Stay® | Green which still supports local eco-friendly initiatives. For more information visit www.bellstar.ca/green

  • There were amenities that many of our guests consistently requested to enhance their stay with us. We are pleased to now be able to provide all our guests with many of these upgrades and services for a nominal fee.

  • Yes. This is a standard fee, guests are welcome to use all or none of the items included but the fee remains the same.

  • Program information, activity lists, and amenity access are provided upon guest check-in.
